Ahmed Abdel-Rahman _ Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices opened Sunday's trading session on a collective decline, with the main index EGX30 dropping by 1.14% to trade at 51,677 points.
The equal-weighted indices EGX70 and EGX100 also fell by 1.16% and 1.17%, respectively.
Trading value on the Egyptian Exchange reached EGP 668.355 million across 217 companies through 25,582 transactions.
Market prices for the shares of 15 companies increased, while 140 companies declined, and 62 companies remained unchanged.
Selling Trend Dominates Egyptian Trading While Foreigners and Arabs Lean Toward Buying
Egyptian investors recorded a net selling position of EGP 66.565 million, driven by institutions that recorded net sales of EGP 132.264 million, compared to EGP 65.698 million in net purchases by individuals.
Arab investors recorded net purchases of EGP 15.421 million, supported by individuals who achieved net purchases of EGP 16.066 million, against EGP 644.970 thousand in net sales by institutions.
Foreign investors leaned toward buying, achieving a net position of EGP 53.650 million, supported by institutions which recorded net purchases of EGP 54.410 million, compared to EGP 760.177 thousand in net sales by individuals.
Saudi Egyptian Investment Stock Tops Top Gainers List with a 6.88% Increase
Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance stock led the top gainers list, rising by 6.88%, followed by Premium Healthcare Group by 4.88%, and Misr Beni Suef Cement by 2.81%.
Qorra Energy Projects Subscription Right Tops Top Losers List with an 11.21% Drop
Regarding top losers, the subscription right of Qorra Energy Projects & Investment -1 led the list, dropping by 11.21%, followed by Minapharm Pharmaceuticals & Chemical Industries by 6.60%, and Qorra Energy Projects & Investment for Technology Localization by 5.05%.
