Hamdy Ahmed _ Orascom Industrial Parks intends to fully complete the infrastructure implementation of the Abu Rawash Industrial Zone during the first quarter of next year, while concurrently considering regional expansion in Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Gulf.
Eng. Amr El Batreek, CEO of Orascom Industrial Parks, stated that the company has completed 75% of the infrastructure works for the Abu Rawash Industrial Zone, which spans an area of 2.2 million square meters.
El Batreek added in statements to Hapi Journal that the completion of the infrastructure works is expected during the first quarter of next year.
The company is discussing with the Ministry of Industry and Industrial Development and the Ministry of Investment the acquisition of new industrial zones in various locations
The CEO noted that the company is currently open to expansion and establishing various zones, and is discussing with the Ministry of Industry, the Industrial Development Authority, and the Ministry of Investment the acquisition of new industrial zones in different locations. It is also studying expansion outside Egypt, though geopolitical conditions in the region have relatively delayed this expansion.
El Batreek pointed out that this expansion will take place in Africa, Eastern Europe, or the Gulf, but making the final decision in this regard will not be prior to 2028, in order to carefully and thoroughly study the available opportunities.
