Mohamed Ahmed _ Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, discussed with officials of "Advances Telecom" ways of cooperation to develop a specialized national digital platform for consumer goods and products within the framework of the national project "Carry On", contributing to facilitating citizens' access to their daily needs and raising the efficiency of the internal trade system.
The meeting reviewed the proposed technological solutions for developing the project and the company's vision regarding the establishment of the digital platform, which aims to enable citizens to easily identify available goods and products and facilitate access to them, thereby saving time and effort and improving the shopping experience.
The platform aims to enhance the connection between suppliers, outlets, and consumers, and reduce intermediary links in the trading of goods, thereby supporting the efficiency of supply chains and contributing to delivering products to citizens more quickly and regularly.
The platform is scheduled to be implemented in phases across a number of governorates, according to the project's needs and operational readiness, while leveraging the results of the initial phases to develop services and gradually expand the scope of application.
The platform also aims to support monitoring the availability of consumer goods and products, and provide the necessary data and information to improve operational efficiency and enhance decision-making capabilities, thereby supporting the development of the "Carry On" system and expanding the scope of its services.
The meeting emphasized the importance of employing modern technological solutions in developing the project, as part of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade's orientation towards expanding digital transformation applications and modernizing the internal trade system, thereby enhancing the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
