Amer Group pumps EGP 750 million into construction of New Alamein project

Amer Group pumps EGP 750 million into construction of New Alamein project

Mubasher – Abdullah Badeer: Dalia El-Kordy, Chief Commercial Officer of Amer Holding Group, stated that the group has pumped EGP 750 million into construction works at the Porto Grande project in New Alamein since last summer.

During a roundtable held today, El-Kordy added that the project spans an area of 388 feddans and comprises approximately 60,000 units, including 5,000 hotel units distributed across 5 buildings, each comprising 1,000 units.

She explained that each building also includes a hotel containing 150 rooms, bringing the total to 750 hotel rooms across the five buildings.

She pointed out that the group currently owns approximately 1,000 hotel rooms across its various hotels, noting that the Egyptian market suffers from a severe shortage of hotel rooms, despite the significant demand and turnout for the North Coast region.

She noted that the developments witnessed by the region during the past period have contributed to enhancing Egypt's position as a tourist destination and increasing demand for it, alongside the growth of Gulf investments in the Egyptian market, although their percentage remains limited.

El-Kordy indicated that the group is looking for opportunities to acquire land in a number of governorates, following its experiences in Minya and Port Said, as part of its plans to expand into new markets within Egypt.
