German Embassy: Launch of the "Labor Mobility Forum 2026" in Cairo .. October 26

Samar El-Sayed _ The German Embassy in Cairo announced that Egypt will host the "Labor Mobility Forum 2026" from October 26 to 28 under the title "Gateway to Europe", with the participation of Egyptian and European governmental institutions, employers, education and training institutions, and organizations supporting the international mobility of skilled labor.

The forum aims to provide information and opportunities for Egyptian job seekers, students, graduates, professionals, and skilled workers interested in learning about regular employment pathways in Germany and other European countries, qualification and language requirements, and work visa procedures.

The forum will be open to the public on October 27 and 28, starting at 2:30 PM, in Granada, Heliopolis, Cairo, through an interactive experience named "Gateway to Europe".

According to the embassy's statement, the experience allows visitors to learn about the various stages of preparing to work in Europe through a symbolic mobility passport that takes them through information points, consultations, and interactive activities, while receiving symbolic stamps during participation in various activities.

The forum includes a pavilion for the participating EU member states, providing information on labor markets, required skills, and employment pathways, alongside the German pavilion which allows meeting representatives of the "German Team", including the German Embassy, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the Goethe-Institut, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), as well as public and private sector partners in Germany.

The forum also includes individual consulting sessions with specialized labor mobility experts to provide advice on resume preparation, job applications, document preparation, language learning, and other necessary steps for working abroad.

The program also features public discussions and group sessions presented by experts, employers, and specialists, addressing required skills in the labor market, preparation for international work, regular migration pathways, and interactive activities to learn about job and life opportunities in Germany and Europe.

In addition to public events, the forum includes high-level policy discussions and dialogues with the private sector, aimed at enhancing institutional cooperation and building sustainable partnerships that respond to the labor market needs in Egypt and Europe, with a special focus on the role of employers and the German private sector and expanding cooperation with other EU member states.

The forum is organized by the Egyptian-German Center for Jobs, Migration and Reintegration (EGC), a partnership between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), co-funded by the German Government and the European Union.

The center supports individuals in making informed decisions regarding job opportunities, skills development, and labor migration, provides support services for returning Egyptians from abroad, offers information and services related to job opportunities, regular migration pathways, and reintegration, and contributes to enhancing cooperation between Egyptian and international labor market actors.

The embassy clarified that registration and participation can be done through the link "Gateway to Europe, Labor Mobility Forum 2026".
