FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Who supervises insurance companies in Egypt?
Insurance and reinsurance companies and insurance brokers are supervised by the Financial Regulatory Authority under Unified Insurance Law No. 155 of 2024 and its implementing decisions.
What are the main steps to establish an insurance or brokerage company?
They include choosing the line of business (life, property and liability, or brokerage), meeting the capital, solvency and technical staffing requirements, and then preparing the licence file and following it up with the FRA until registration. We handle all of these stages.
Do new insurance policies need approval before launch?
Insurance products are subject to FRA rules on approving policy wordings, pricing and customer disclosure. We review policy wordings and terms and handle the approval process.
Do you handle insurance claim disputes?
Yes. We represent insurers and policyholders in claims, compensation and reinsurance disputes, whether through amicable settlement, the courts or arbitration.
