FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why do I need a lawyer to draft a contract instead of using a template?
Templates do not reflect the nature and specific risks of your deal and may contain unbalanced or unenforceable terms under Egyptian law. Professional drafting protects your rights, reduces the chance of disputes and makes enforcement easier if a disagreement arises.
Which types of contracts do you draft?
We draft commercial and investment contracts such as supply, distribution, commercial agency, partnership, acquisition, finance, services and licence agreements, as well as shareholders' agreements and executive employment contracts.
What are internal regulations and corporate systems?
They are the written rules that govern how a company is managed and operates, such as board and general assembly bylaws, HR and disciplinary regulations, and compliance, conflict-of-interest and anti-money-laundering policies. Well-drafted rules protect the company and make dealing with regulators easier.
Can you review a contract that has already been drafted before I sign it?
Yes. We review the contract, identify the risks and unbalanced terms, propose clear amendments and can negotiate with the other party on your behalf.
