FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which law governs consumer protection in Egypt?
Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its executive regulations. The Consumer Protection Agency receives and investigates complaints and monitors the compliance of suppliers and advertisers.
How do I file a complaint against a supplier or company?
A complaint can be filed with the Consumer Protection Agency together with proof of the transaction, such as an invoice, contract or correspondence. We help you prepare and follow up the complaint or take the appropriate legal action to claim compensation.
Do you also serve businesses?
Yes. We review sales, warranty and return policies, contract terms and advertising to ensure they comply with the law, and we represent companies before the Agency and in amicable settlements, reducing the risk of fines and disputes.
Can a dispute be settled amicably before going to court?
Yes, and an amicable settlement is often faster and less costly for both parties. We negotiate and draft settlement agreements, and go to court when necessary.
